Rooney was back on the set of “Bitter Pill” today, filming with Jude Law in New York. The first pictures are below, more if we find them! In case you missed it earlier, “Bitter Pill” was just announced to have a release date of February 8, 2013.

Rooney’s currently filming Steven Soderbergh movie “Bitter Pill” will be released on February 8th of next year.

Open Road is setting a February 8, 2013 release date for Bitter Pill, the film that Steven Soderbergh began shooting in New York. The film stars Rooney Mara, Jude Law, Channing Tatum, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Vinessa Shaw. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, Gregory Jacobs and Scott Z. Burns are producing a script that Soderbergh and Burns wrote.

Rooney attended the opening night of Broadway play “Magic/Bird” in New York tonight, and the first images are below in the gallery!

Rooney has debuted a new look on the set of her new movie “Bitter Pill”! She’s wearing a big brunette wig and it’s altogether totally different from how we’ve seen her for the better part of a year. She plays Emily Hawkins in the Steven Soderbergh movie, and it will be filming in and around New York for the next several weeks, aiming for a release in early 2013.

Rooney is all rested up after Oscar season and hard at work on her next movie. She plays Emily Hawkins in Steven Soderbergh’s “Bitter Pill”, formerly called “Side Effects”, and filming is now underway in New York City. Here’s a report from NY Post that indicates she and the cast (Channing Tatum, Jude Law and more) are headed to a real prison to film some scenes.

Steven Soderbergh apparently gave the star-studded cast of his new movie “Bitter Pill” one last fancy meal before heading to shoot on location in a prison. The director and Rooney Mara, Jude Law and Channing Tatum were spotted heading into A Voce Columbus on Wednesday night for dinner in a luxe private dining room at the Time Warner Center restaurant. But, sources say, they’re headed today to a federal prison in Otisville, NY to shoot. “It’s a real live prison, so it requires lots of special security,” a source added. We hear that distributor Open Road Films is looking to release the movie, about a woman coping with the imminent release of her husband from the slammer, in the first quarter of next year.

Oh my gosh. How incredibly beautiful are these shots?? David Fincher shot Rooney for these ads that can currently be seen in the April issue of Vogue magazine (with Jennifer Lopez on the cover). Amazing. Check them out below!!

Rooney is back at work! Here she is in Austin, TX doing some more filming/pre-production work on Terrence Malick’s “Lawless.” Ryan Gosling has been spotted as well but it appears she’s filming with another actor in the pics we found. Hopefully we find more!
