And then we’ll finally have some pictures of Rooney in this movie!!
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced that the film YOUTH IN REVOLT, starring Michael Cera, will be arriving on Blu-ray June 15, 2010. The film is based on the cult novel of the same name by C.D. Payne and follows a boy who channels his bad boy alter ego to win the girl of his dreams. The most impressive special feature looks to be the commentary with Michael Cera which will probably be just as entertaining as the film itself.
The Blu-ray appears to have a decent line-up of special features which include:
* Director and Michael Cera Commentary
* Deleted Scenes
* Deleted and Extended Animated Sequences
* Audition footage
Looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer to see Rooney in “Youth in Revolt”. The release date has been changed from October 30, 2009 to January 15, 2010.
The Weinstein Company has pushed the long-delayed Michael Cera comedy, Youth in Revolt, to January 15, 2010. The movie, in which Cera plays a lovelorn teenager who imagines a ladies-man alter ego for himself, premiered at the Toronto Film Festival to positive reviews this month, after having been shuffled around the release schedule for some time now. “This is in no way a slight to the film,” says Liz Biber, EVP of Publicity for The Weinstein Co. and Dimension Films. “It screened fabulously in Toronto and now we want to give the film more time to build word of mouth and maybe even hit a few more festivals. The movie will be an excellent piece of counterprogramming against the heavier Academy fare in January.”
